Jesterpus: A Musical Comedy of Horrors
Jesterpus: A Musical Comedy of Horrors
Jesterpus: A Musical Comedy of Horrors is a 90 minute comedy/horror musical feature film, with writing, SFX and direction by Dan Bringhurst.
1400 years ago Merlin banished Jesterpus to Mars, after discovering the clown had traded a jewel encrusted pig knuckle with a witch in exchange for eternal life and four horrible arms that extruded from his back. Now, a prophecy is fulfilled and Jesterpus is let loose from the red planet. Meanwhile, Merlin awakens from his hibernation deep inside a mountain, and he sets off to find and destroy the clown once more, and in a world that's changed considerably. He's promptly locked in a lunatic asylum, and Jesterpus finds his hunger again, bent on beheading Merlin and stopping at nothing for world domination.
The score for Jesterpus: A Musical Comedy of Horrors reflects the dark fantasy setting with bombastic orchestral arrangements, distinct character themes, and operatic crescendos.
